as it lieth in Colne aforesaid viz between the rood of land of

late parcel of the said

toward the east and the land of the said

viz the residue of the said croft of land called
Barecrofte
toward the west one head thereof abutting upon the way leading from Earls Colne toward
Colne Parke
toward the south and the other head thereof abutting upon the garden called
Lavenhams alias Orlegers Garden
toward the north as etc to the use and behoof of
Thos Christmas
his heirs and assigns who being present in the court came and craved to be admitted thereunto and he is admitted the lord's tenant thereof to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to have and to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod etc by the rent of 20d by the year and suit at the court and he giveth fine etc and made fealty yet this present surrender and seisin thereof delivered is made on condition following viz that if the foresaid

his heirs or assigns pay or cause to be paid to the foresaid
Edm Allen
or his certain attorney or executors in the even of the nativity of st john baptist next coming after the date of this court in the parish church of Earls Colne aforesaid 43s4d beside 3li6s8d beforehand paid that then this present surrender and seisin thereof delivered shall stand and remain in all his strength and power and if there be default in payment of the said 43s4d contrary to the form aforesaid that then it shall be lawful to the same

his heirs and assigns into the foresaid acre of land with the appurtenances to reenter and have again and so as in their former estate to have hold occupy possess and enjoy the same and the foresaid

his heirs and executors from thence wholly to expel and amove this present surrendered and seisin thereof delivered in anywise notwithstanding
