fine pardoned it is found and certified as well by Jn Churche as by the homage that Wm Greene and Eliz his wife out of the court and since the last court at Earls Colne aforesaid on monday being the feast of the epiphany of our lord 6.1.last past came before Jn Church the steward of this manor and the said Eliz being alone and secretly examined by the lord's steward craved licence of the lord to let to farm to one Edw Windsore knight for term of twenty one years the said term beginning at michaelmas last past on divers conditions and consideration between them agreed on as by an indenture hereafter between them to be made more fully shall appear to which Wm Green and Eliz licence is granted and they give fine for such licence which is pardoned by the lord in the presence of Hen Golding steward of the household
