Brownes Messuage Xfine 6s8d to this court came Wm Smythe and Ann his wife and the same Ann alone and secretly examined by the lord's steward surrendered into the lord's hands one messuage with a garden adjoining and the appurtenances sometime Jn Slooe's after Rich Browne's and since Wm Davison's as etc together with a way to the same messuage belonging to carry and recarry without the garden of the said messuage into the way called Berecrofteland viz in and upon the garden of the said Wm Smythe late parcel of the said messuage and garden and sold to the said Wm Smythe by one Jn Culverton late tenant thereof as in the leet with the court here holden on tuesday in the week of pentecost in the 38Hen8 15.6.1546 more at large it doth appear except one piece of garden of the said messuage lying near the stable of the said Wm Smythe which piece contains in length 3rods by estimation and in breadth at the south end 14ft and at the north end 6ft6i as by the metes and bounds etc to the use and behoof of Nich Parker his heirs and assigns who being present in the court came and craved to be admitted thereunto and he is admitted the lord's tenant thereof to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod etc and he giveth fine etc and made fealty
