fine 4s to this court came Joan Allen widow late the wife of Edm Allen deceased and in full court surrendered remitted released and forever for her and her heirs quitclaimed to Lewis Jegon and his heirs in their full and peaceable possession being all the right title estate claim interest and demand whichever she had hath or by any means hereafter might have of and in one piece of land containing by estimation 1a of land late parcel of the croft of land called Barcrofte as it lieth in Colne aforesaid viz between the land of Thos Christmas late parcel of the said croft called Barcrofte of the one part toward the east and the land of the same Joan the residue of the said croft of land called Barcrofte on the other part toward the west the one head thereof abutting upon the way leading from the parish church of Earls Colne aforesaid toward the lord's park called Colne Park toward the south and the other head there of abutting upon the garden of the tenement Salmon toward the north as by the metes and bounds etc which she claimeth to hold in the name of her dowry by and after the death of the said Edm Allen her husband deceased viz so that neither she the foresaid Joan nor her heirs nor any other for them or in their names may or ought hereafter exact claim or challenge any right title claim or demand of in or to the foresaid piece of land with the appurtenances but are clean abarred from all action of right forever by these presents and he giveth fine for enrolling this release as appears etc
