fine 6s8d Morses messuage and cottagesit is found by the homage that Kath late the wife of Jeff Carter deceased who held to her and her assigns of the surrender of the foresaid Jeff Carter late her husband until one Thos Carter came to his age of twenty two years of the lord as of this manor by the rod etc one chief messuage and two renteries or cottages to the same messuage adjoining with two gardens and curtilages to the same chief messuage and cottages belonging situate and lying at Colford Hill in Earls Colne on the east side of a way there called Barkers Lane and sometime were Wm Baxter's and late Jn Blewes called Morses as etc as in the leet with the court here held on tuesday in the week of pentecost 15.5.35Hen8 more at large appears now at this court it is found by the ho mage that the said Thos Carter is come to his full age of 22yrs and thereupon to this court came the foresaid Thos and craved to be admitted to the foresaid chief messuage and all other the premises with the appurtenances by force of the surrender aforesaid and because it is so found by the homage therefore he is admitted the tenant thereof to whom by the steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod etc and he giveth fines etc and made fealty
