fine 2s cottage Lytmans to this court came Thos Turnor and Joan his wife and the same Joan being alone and secretly examined by the lord's steward surrendered into the hands one cottage with a garden adjoining and appurtenances called Lytmans as etc to the use and behoof of Martin Borrowghe his heirs and assigns who being present in the court came and prayed to be admitted thereunto and he is admitted the lord's tenant thereof to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod etc and he giveth fine etc and made fealty yet this present surrender and seisin thereof delivered is made on condition following viz that if the foresaid Martin Borrouwe his heirs or assigns pay or cause to be paid to the foresaid Thos Turnor or his certain attorney or executors 16li13s4d of good and lawful money of England in manner and form following viz on feast of michaelmas next in the mansion house of Lewice Jegon in Colne aforesaid 3li6s8d and in the feast of easter then next ensuing in the place aforesaid 13li6s8d of good etc in full satisfaction and contentation of the foresaid 16li13s4d that then this present surrender and seisin thereof shall remain and be in full force and effect and if there be default in any payment of the payment of the payments (sic) aforesaid contrary to the form aforesaid that then it shall be lawful to the foresaid Thos Turnor and his heirs into the foresaid cottage with the garden adjoining and the appurtenances to reenter and have again and so as in their former estate the same to hold have enjoy and possess and the foresaid Martin his heirs and assigns from thence wholly to expel and remove this present surrender and seisin thereof delive red in anywise notwithstanding provided always that the foresaid Thos shall have hold and occupy the said cottage with the garden adjoining and the appurtenances to him and his assigns even till the foresaid feast of easter and eight next following without any impediment of the said Martin his heirs or assigns yielding therefore to the lord and his heirs lord's of this manor the rents and services therefore due and of right accustomed
