| fine 12d 1r of land parcel of Barcrofte | it is found by the homage that Geo Bieston that held jointly with Agnes his wife yet living to them and the heirs of the same Geo of the lord as of this manor by the rod etc 1r of land parcel of Barecroft as it lieth in Colne aforesaid viz between the land of the foresaid Geo Bieston on the east side and 1a of land late parcel of the said Barecrofte now in the hands of Thos Christmas on the west side one head thereof abutting upon the way leading from Colne to Colne Park towards the south and the other head thereof abutting upon the garden of the said Geo Bieston toward the north as etc as in the leet with court here holden on tuesday in the week of pentecost 7.6.6Edw6 more at large appears died since the last court and before his death surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Robt Peerson one of the lord's tenants in the presence of Jn Ward and Jn Leffingwel likewise the lord's tenants and other the same witnessing the reversion of the foresaid 1r of land which shall happen by and after the death of the foresaid Agnes to the use and behoof of Geo Bieston his son according to the tenor force form and effect of the last will of the foresaid Geo Bieston the father which Geo by Wm Fisher his attorney in this behalf came and prayed to be admitted thereunto and because it is so found by the homage therefore he is admitted the lord's tenant thereof to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to the hands of his said attorney to hold to him according to the tenor force form and effect of the last will of the foresaid Geo when it shall happen by and after the death of the foresaid Agnes of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the ancient rents and services therefore due and of right accustomed and he giveth fine etc and made fealty |
