fine 13s4d Pakes Gate it is found by the homage that Rich Orbell that held jointly together with Margt his wife yet living to them and their assigns during the whole term of their lives and the longer liver of them one messuage and 10a of land customary with appurtenances sometime Robt Hillis lying in Colne aforesaid as by the meets and bounds more fully they are divided and shown as in the leet with the court here holden on tuesday in the week of pentecost in 16.5.1Eliz1 more at large appears the foresaid Rich died since the last court and they say further that Margt out of court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Rich Rolte one of the lord's tenants in the presence of Jn Leffingwell and Jn Culverton likewise the lord's tenants and other the same witnessing the foresaid messuage and 10a of land with appurtenances to the use and behoof of the foresaid Nich Parker and Agnes his wife and the heirs of the said Nich during the whole term of the life of the said Margt on condition that the foresaid Nich pay or cause to be paid unto the said Margt and her assigns yearly during the whole term of the life of the said Margt 40s of good and lawful money of England without delay which Nich being present in the court came and prayeth himself and the said Agnes his wife to be admitted thereunto and because it is so found by the homage therefore they are admitted the lord's tenants to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to them and the heirs of the said Nich of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services therefore due and of right accustomed on condition above written and they give the lord fine etc and made fealty
