fine 30s Lytmans | to this court came Martin Borrowes and Joan his wife and the said Joan being alone and secretly examined by the lord's steward surrendered into the lord's hands one cottage with a garden adjoining and the appurtenances called Lytmans as by the meets and bounds etc to the use and behoof of Jn Coker his heirs and assigns who being present in court came and prayed to be admitted the lord's tenant thereof to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services the refore due and of right accustomed and he giveth fine etc and made fealty yet this present surrender and seisin thereof delivered is made on condition following viz that if the foresaid Jn Coker his heirs or assigns pay or cause to be paid unto the foresaid Martin Borrowe of his certain attorney or his executors 30li of good and lawful money of England beside 11li beforehand paid in manner and form following viz on monday in easter week next coming after the title of this court in the dwelling house of Jn Harvie in Colchester in the county of Essex 10li and on monday in easter week then next coming in the place aforesaid 10li and on the monday in easter week then next coming in the place aforesaid 10li in full satisfaction and payment of the foresaid 30li that then this present surrender and seisin thereof delivered shall remain and be in all his force and effect but otherwise it shall be void and of no force |
