fine 3liit is found by the homage that Robt Stocks out of the court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Jn Culverton one of the lord's tenants in the presence of Thos Allen and Nich Parker likewise the lord's tenants and other the same witnessing one messuage with appurtenances called Skinners one croft of land sometimes builded on one barn called Burtons Garden with free ingress and egress through the gates of the manor there viz from the highway leading toward Colchester even to the said barn and through the croft called Beerecroft as well to carry and recarry there through the said gates as through the said croft of land one tenement with appurtenances called Gentryes three crofts of land containing 12a of land called Bromecrofts one croft of land containing 11a of land called Beerecroft together with a way leading to the field aforesaid to drive and chase and one meadow late parcel of the said croft called Beerecroft containing 3a of land with the appurtenances lying in Earls Colne as etc to the use and behoof of Jn Garrard his heirs and assigns who being present in court came and prayed to be admitted thereunto and because it is so found by the homage therefore he is admitted the lord's tenant thereof to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor and he giveth fine etc and made fealty to the lord
