| fine 13s4d | it is found by the homage that Wm Catte out of the court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Jn Leffingwell Thos Marshe and Jn Sparrowe the lord's tenants the same witnessing one messuage with appurtenances called Masons lying between the churchyard of Colne aforesaid and the highway leading from Colne aforesaid towards Halstead on the north part as by the meets and bounds etc to the use and behoof of Edw Richold his heirs and assigns who being present came and according to the surrender aforesaid prayed to be admitted thereto to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services therefore due and of right accustomed and he giveth fine and made fealty and is admitted the lord's tenant |
