| fine 6s8d | it is found by the homage that Wm Smythe out of court and since the last court surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Robt Peerson and Adam Polleighe the lord's tenants the same witnessing one piece or parcel of garden pertaining to the tenement or messuage sometime Jn Slooes since Rich Browne's late Wm Davison's and now Jn Culverton's and the foresaid piece of land lieth between the garden of Wm Smythe of one part towards the west in length by the same side 7rod and a half and the garden of the foresaid Jn Culverton toward the east and containing on the same side 8rod one head thereof abutt ing upon the way toward Berecroft and the croft of land of Reynald Heygate called Burtons toward the south and contains in breadth in the same head 3rod and the other head abutteth upon the bakehouse of the foresaid Wm Smythe towards the north and contains in breadth 2rod and a half as by the meets and bounds etc to the use and behoof of Thos Polley his heirs and assigns who being present in the court came and prayed to be admitted thereto to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services therefore due and of right accustomed and he giveth fine etc and made fealty and is admitted the lord's tenant |
