that held to him and his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod etc one cottage with a garden adjoining and the appurtenances called
Cloviers
and one tenement or cottage with the appurtenances called
Brays
in Colne aforesaid died since the last court of and in the cottage with appurtenances sole seised and they say further that
Edw Turnor
is his son and next heir and hath right to the aforesaid premises to which
Edw Turnor
by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor whereupon to this court came the aforesaid

in his proper person and surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of his steward the said cottage and other the premises to the use and behoof of
Joan Turnor
widow mother of the said

on condition that the said

pay the debts of the said

her husband with the profits of and in the said cottage and other the premises growing and arising whether it be by the surrender and sale of the premises at the will of the said

or by any other means according to the true intent of the said

whereupon to this court came the said

and according to the surrender aforesaid prayed to be admitted to the premises to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to her heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor etc and on condition aforesaid etc and she made fine and fealty and is admitted the lord's tenant
