fine 20sit is found by the homage that Geo Chatterton that held to him and his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor one messuage called Sebrights as by the meets and bounds etc as in the roll of the court here hold on tuesday in the week of pentecost 8.6.3PhM more at large appears surrendered into the lord's hands by the hands of Jn Leffingwell and in the presence of Jn Parker and Wm Catte and other the same witnessing the foresaid messuage with appurtenances to the use and behoof of Thos Smythe his heirs executors and assigns on condition that the foresaid Thos his heirs executors or assigns or some of them pay or cause to be paid to the foresaid Geo Chatterton his executors or assigns 18li of good and lawful money of England at the messuage aforesaid in manner and form following viz at the feast of pentecost next coming 40s and at the feast of pentecost then next coming 40s and so yearly at the feast of pentecost 40s until the foresaid 18li shall be fully satisfied and paid which Thos being present here in court came and prayed to be admitted thereto to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns on condition aforesaid of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services therefore before due and of right accustomed and he giveth fine etc and made fealty and is admitted the lord's tenant
