it is found by the homage that Barth Church that held to him and his heirs of the lord by the rod etc one croft of land enclosed late Jn Tredgold's lying near Barcroft now called Stulpes Croft as by copy of court roll here holden on tuesday in the week of pentecost 4.6.1PhM more at large appears died since the last court of the foresaid croft sole seised in his demesne as of fee according to the custom of the manor and they say further that Jn Churche of full age is the elder son and next heir of the said Barth and hath right to the premises who being present in court came and prayed to be admitted thereunto to whom by the lord's steward there is se isin thereof delivered to have and to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod etc and he giveth fine and made fealty and is admitted the lord's tenant and afterward the court sitting came the foresaid Jn Church and in the full court surrendered into the lord's hands the foresaid croft of land with the appurtenances to the use and behoof of Robt Church his brother his heirs and assigns who by Robt Reade his lawful attorney in this behalf came and prayed to be admitted thereunto to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to have and to hold to the same Robt Churche his heirs and assigns of the lord by he rod etc to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services etc and he giveth fine etc and made fealty and is admitted the lord's tenant (no fine beside this)
