| Leffingwells Waste | at this court the lord sitting personally in the court at the instance and request of Thos Leffingwell granted out of his hands to the same Thos one parcel of the waste of this manor containing in length 9rod and in breadth at one head abutting upon a piece of waste now in the hands of Thos Kelton gentleman toward the south 4rod and at the other head abutting upon the house of Lance Gylot late enclosed out of the lord's waste toward the north 3rod and it lieth in length between the highway leading from Colne aforesaid toward Halstead on the east side and a parcel of land now in the hands of the foresaid Thos Leffingwell toward the west and by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to have and to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod etc renting therefore yearly to the lord and his heirs lord's of this manor at the usual terms 8d and a capon at michaelmas and doing fealty and common suit of the court of the manor and he giveth fine etc and made fealty |
