it is found by the homage that Agnes Bieston widow that held to her and her heirs of the lord by the rod etc one rood of land parcel of Barecrofte as it lieth in Colne aforesaid viz between the land late Geo Bieston's on the east side and 1a of land late parcel of Barecrofte aforesaid now inclosed and late in the tenure of Thos Christmas toward the west one head thereof abutting upon the way leading from Colne toward Colne Park and the other head abutting upon the garden late the said Geo Bieston's called Prynces as etc died since the last court of and in the foresaid rood of land sole seised in her demesne as of fee and they say further that Wm Bieston is son and heir of the said Agnes and hath right to the premises who being present in the court came and prayed himself to be admitted thereto and because it is so found by the homage therefore he is admitted the lord's tenant to whom by the lord's steward there is seisin thereof delivered to hold to him his heirs and assigns of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor by the rents and services etc and he gave fine etc and made fealty and is admitted the lord's tenant
