it is found by the homage of this court that Wm Wade was seised and died seised of one cottage and garden situate and lying in Crossegate Street leading from Earls Colne towards Coggeshall out against the land of Rich Parker called Gosses and contains in length against the the foresaid way 43ft of assize and in breadth 20ft of assize to which the same Wm was admitted at the court with the leet here holden in 19Eliz1 and that Esdras Wade is son and heir of the said Wm to whom the lord by his steward aforesaid delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have to him and his heirs to hold of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor and by fealty suit of court and rent of 12d by the year and by all other customs and services therefore due and of right accustomed and for such his estate he made fine and fealty with the lord and so is admitted the lord's tenant thereof in form aforesaid etc
