at this court the lord by the advice of his steward granted out of his hands to Thos Sandsom a parcel of the waste of this lordship lying in the chaseway leading towards the late park of the lord of this manor containing in length 6rod of assize and in breadth 3rod of assize with appurtenances in Earls Colne aforesaid viz at the east end of the messuage of the said Thos Sandsom and to the free land of Wm Fisher gentleman called Churche Croft toward the south and to the highway there towards the north and to the yard of the same Thos toward the south to whom the lord by his steward aforesaid granted seisin thereof by the rod according to the custom of this manor to have to him and his heirs for ever to hold of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor doing to the lord as other customary tenants of this manor are wont to do and by fealty suit of court and rent of by the year and fine for every admission thereof to be had and for such his estate he made fine and fealty and so is admitted the lord's tenant in form aforesaid etc
