was admitted tenant to him and his heirs to 1r of land lying between the land called
Hayhouse
and the lord's park gate by force of the surrender of
Hen Smithe
as by copy of the roll of the same court appeareth etc now it is found by the homage aforesaid that since the last court and before this court the said
Hen Smithe
did surrender into the lord's hands by the hands of
Jn Northan
instead of the bailiff in the presence of
Robt Reade
and
Jn Greene
two customary tenants of the manor the same witnessing according to the custom of the same manor the foresaid rood of land with appurtenances to the use and behoof of
Wm Adams
clerk and his heirs to which
Wm Adams
present here in court the lord by his steward delivered seisin thereof by the rod to have to him and his heirs to hold of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor aforesaid by the rents services and customs therefore due and of right accustomed and he made fine and fealty and is admitted tenant thereof
