item they present that whereas at the last court leet here holden it was presented by the whole homage of that court that Hen Abbotte the younger for many bad and lewd misdemeanours within the precinct of this leet by the foresaid Hen Abbotte dishonestly committed and done was adjudged by the whole court a vile and troublesome member of the commonwealth for which and other such like offences he was then and there amerced in 5li for levying which sum of money the lord of this manor sent his bailiff to the house of the foresaid Hen Abbotte which said bailiff did then and there distrain certain cloth of the said Hen Abbott's to satisfy the lord for the said sum of money whereupon the said Hen Abbotte in very contemptuous scoffing and mocking manner against his foresaid lord uttered these words to the said lord his servants viz mrs Harlakenden being lately departed this world I had tho ught your master had sent you to me to have taken cloth to make mourning coats
