whereas at the leet with court here holden on saturday in the week of pentecost 36Eliz1 4.6.1594 Rich Mapas was admitted the lord's tenant to him and his heirs by the surrender of Rich Sampford to one parcel of a cottage parcel of a certain tenement called Stacies alias John Adams containing in length 36ft of assize and in breadth towards the south west 9ft and at the other end towards the north east 14ft in breadth with a meet way leading to the said cottage at the south end of the same cottage containing in breadth 2ft6i and one little piece of land containing about 2r in circuit with a certain waterage to the same cottage belonging as by the rolls of the same court brought and shown here in court appeareth now it is found by the homage aforesaid that since the last court and before this court the foresaid Rich Mapas died seised of such estate of the premises and that Edm Mapas of the age of 18years or thereabouts is his eldest son and next heir and hath right to the premises to which Edm by     his mother and deputy there is seisin of the premises granted to have and to hold to him and his heirs of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor aforesaid by the rents services and customs therefore due and of right accustomed and he made fine and his fealty is respited until etc and he is admitted the lord's tenant
