fine 20swhereas at a view with court here held tuesday 18.3.31Eliz1 Robt Lisse and Eliz his wife were admitted tenants for the term of their lives and the longer liver by the surrender of     Goulde to one parcel of the lord's waste containing 14p lying on a green called the Hall Green between the customary land of     Pollie on the east part and the green aforesaid called the Hall Green on the west part one head thereof abuts on the highway to the south and the other head abuts on the churchyard there on which is now built a cottage as shown by copy of court roll now it appears to the homage aforesaid that after the last court and before this court viz 2.1.1598 the aforesaid Eliz relict of the said Robt Lisse and now wife of Rich Thomasine came before Robt Cobbe steward of the manor aforesaid by warrant of the lord of the manor aforesaid and the aforesaid Eliz solely and secretly examined by the steward and agreeing surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the said steward the aforesaid cottage with all and singular its appurtenances also all her whole interest of and in the premises aforesaid to the work and use of Robt Crowe and his assigns which aforesaid Robt present here in court was granted seisin to hold to himself and his heirs for the term of the life of Eliz and afterwards here in open court the lord present in court granted out of his hands the aforesaid cottage with appurtenances to the aforesaid Robt Crowe and his heirs to hold of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor aforesaid by a rent of 8d per annum and all services and customs before due and of right accustomed and he gave fine and fealty and was admitted thereof tenant
