fine 33s4d#whereas at a view with court here held tuesday in the week of pentecost 1Mary1 15.5.1554 Robt Pierson and Joan his wife were admitted tenants of the lord for themselves and the heirs of the said Robt to one croft of land called Wallnutcroft as shown by copy of the court roll now at this court it is shown that the aforesaid Robt for divers years and that before his death he surrendered into the hands of the lord according to the custom of the manor aforesaid the aforesaid croft of land with appurtenances by the hands of Hen Abbott (may be Hen Abbott) instead of the bailiff in the presence of Robt Reade and Thos Leffingwell two customary tenants according to the custom of the manor aforesaid to the work and use of Joan his wife for the term of her life to remain after her death to Robt Pierson and Edm Pierson his sons and their heirs forever which Robt present here in court and the aforesaid Edm by the aforesaid Robt were granted seisin to hold to themselves and their heirs after the death of the said Joan to ho ld of the lord by the rod to the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor aforesaid and by all rents services and customs before due and of right accustomed and they made their fines and fealty was respited until
