whereas at a view with court here held friday 23.9.22Eliz1 Margt late wife of Phil Smith was admitted tenant of the lord for the term of the minority of a certain Jn Smith son of the aforesaid Phil Smith until he reaches his age of twenty one years by the surrender and last will of the said Phil to a cottage with a garden adjoining called Litmans with appurtenances as shown by copy of court roll in this court now at this court came the aforesaid Jn Smith in his proper person who is of full age of twenty one years and more and humbly petitioned admittance to hold of the lord according to the form of the surrender and the rents before paid which he claims by force of the above therefore the lord by the steward aforesaid granted unto him seisin to have to himself and his heirs to hold of the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the manor aforesaid by the rents services and customs before due and of right accustomed and he made fine and fealty and was admitted thereof tenant
