thirteen that he hath seen and read five several acquittances or discharges in writing under the hands and seals of Jn Cuckoe the elder Jeff Cuckoe Rose Wake Ralph Lunt and his wife Prudence and one Thos Symons every of the said acquittances purporting a discharge unto the said complainant Rose and others of and for the several receipts of five several 20li paid unto them the said Jn Cuckoe Jeff Cuckoe Rose Wake Ralph Lunt and Prudence his wife and the said Symons as administrator of Susan Cuckoe one of the said daughters of the said complainant Rose which said several sums of 20li apiece this deponent saith was as he verily believeth paid unto her said children or for their uses by the said complainant Rose or by others for her by her appointment for the legacies or filial portions left unto her said children by the said Jeff Cuckoe her first husband by his last will and testament unto which said several acquittances or discharges being all five of them showed forth unto him this deponent now at the time of his examination may and doth appear and this deponent saith that the acquittance of the said Jn Cuckoe the elder is of this deponent's own handwriting and more he saith he cannot materially say or depose for satisfying the contents of this interrogatory
