six he hath heard that one     Cobbe being steward of the said manors of Earls Colne and Colne Priory for the said defendant Harlakenden was heretofore called in question at an assize at Chelmsford about some matter laid to his charge the forging of copies of land within the said manors and that judge Gawdey then sitting as judge there stood up and reproved# the said Cobbe saying " sirrah you that can forge copies can forge court rolls also " or words to that effect and this as this deponent hath also heard was at a trial which the now complainant Rose then had there and more further or otherwise touching the contents of this interrogatory this deponent saith he cannot materially depose either upon his own knowledge or otherwise
