two that he this deponent had heretofore been an agent against the said Roger Harlakenden on the behalf of the right honourable Edw de Vere late earl of Oxford deceased in this honourable court but not against the now defendant to this deponent's now best remembrance neither doth this deponent remember that ever he was either against or deponent on the behalf of the right honourable Hen de Vere now earl of Oxford either in this honourable court or in the king's bench or in any other court or courts of record but this deponent as he taketh it did heretofore solicit a suit in this honourable court against this defendant Rich Harlakenden for and on the behalf of the said Hen now earl of Oxford upon a bill of revivor and this deponent also saith that he was one time a witness in the court of common pleas at Westminster on the behalf of one Hen Abbot defendant at the suit of the now defendant plaintiff in an action of trespass then brought by the now defendant as plaintiff against the said Hen Abbott and this deponent was heretofore a witness on the behalf of the king against the now defendant upon an indictment in the crown office about a bridge which the now defendant was to make at Earls Colne in the aforesaid county of Essex and this deponent saith that the said indictment upon a traverse was found against the now defendant at the assizes in the county and this deponent was likewise a deponent for the tenants of the manor of Earls Colne aforesaid in a suit brought against him by the now defendant in the said honourable high court of star chamber and except in the aforesaid suit courts and causes this deponent saith he remembreth not that ever he was either deponent against or solicitor for any issue or premises against the now defendant
