to the fifth he denies that any request was then made by any manner of person or persons to him Finnett his wife or Simon his son or to any of them to depart from thence as is supposed but confesses that mr Wordsworth requested them to suffer Read and workmen and carriers of timber in peaceful manner to carry away the timber through his cornfield which he and his wife and son Simon did accordingly and opened the gate without any refusing so to do as is supposed and says further that they made answer to the said mr Wordsworth his request that they and every of them should peaceably pass through the examinant's ground
