to the third question says that he Cobbe and Rich Harlakenden did not at any time before 17.5.last confer together touching the taking and keeping of the mill neither did he and Harlakenden agree together that Cobbe with any other persons whom mr Harlakenden should appoint should enter into the mill and take possession thereof with force or otherwise against Edes and Wm Strutt or either of them to the use of mr Harlakenden and Diglett or either of them neither did Harlakenden coming from London three or four days before 17.5.last or at any other time practise or confer with Cobbe to such intent or purpose neither does Cobbe know that some other person or persons were counselling aiding or assisting in such matter says he did not make any promise to give any aid or assistance as in the question is supposed
