to the fourteenth question he says on the 18.5.last complaint was made to mr Waldgrave being a justice of the peace that Edes and others did withold possession of the mill with force and prayed mr Waldgrave to come to the mill to view and remove the force and thereupon mr Waldgrave the day that next fell being 19.5.last did come to Earls Colne and being come did ask Cobbe and Sam Diglett the elder and other of the defendants to come to the mill and view what and how many persons were then in the millhouse which Diglett and Cobbe did presently after there came mr Waldgrave himself and mr Tiffin having then in their company two servants namely Thos Plumb and Nich Leffingwell and also mr Thos Harlakenden he says mr Waldgrave and his man were then weaponed with their swords and daggers or rapiers and daggers such as usually and since that time they have ridden withal and says that mr Thos Harlakenden and mr Tiffin had then no other weapons about them only walking sticks Cobbe had his dagger at his back which he usually wears and does not remember that Diglett had any weapon about him says that he Cobbe or any other persons had come there to aid mr Waldgrave to pull Edes out of the mill as in this interrogation is suspected
