know all men by these presents that I Jas Bullerd of Earls Colne gardener am bound to Thos Lake of Rivenhall yeoman and Jn Lake of Rivenhall yeoman in 50li 17.1.1723 the condition of this obligation is such that if the above bounden Jas Bullerd his heirs executors or administrators shall and do well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the above named Jn Lake and Thos Lake or either of them or either of their executors etc the full and just sum of 250li with legal interest for the same in and upon 18.7. next ensuing the date above written according to a certain proviso and condition mentioned and expressed in certain indentures of mortgage bearing date the day of the date above written and made or mentioned to be made between the said Jas Bullerd of the one part and the said Jn Lake and Thos Lake of the other part and also if the said Jas Bullerd his heirs executors and administrators do and shall in all things well and truly hold observe perform and fulfil and keep all and singular the covenants grants clauses and agreements whatsoever which on his and their parts and behalfs are or ought to be held observed performed fulfilled and kept mentioned and expressed in the said indentures of mortgage and that in all things according to the the purport true intent and meaning of the said indentures of mortgage then this present obligation shall be void or else to remain in full force and virtue Jas Bullerd witnesses Robt Jegon Jn Jegon
