this indenture made the 29.4.1682 etc between Jn Cressener of London grocer the surviving trustee for the donation settling and disposing of the place of schoolmaster for the free grammar school at Earls Colne in the county of Essex of the one part and Jn Cressener of Earls Colne in the said county of Essex gentleman of the other part whereas the right honourable Aubery earl of Oxford lord lieutenant of the county of Essex and one of his majesties most honourable privy council in and by a certain deed or indenture bearing date the 30.9.1673 etc for good causes and considerations thereunto moving did fully freely and absolutely give grant ratify and confirm unto Geo Cressener the elder of Earls Colne aforesaid gentleman the said Jn Cressener grocer and Geo Cressener the younger of the Middle Temple London gentleman and their heirs all the said donation free disposition and settling of a schoolmaster from time to time for the grammar school in Earls Colne aforesaid which was then void by the late death of Wm Humphreys deceased and also all and every the messuages lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever or belonging to the said place of a schoolmaster to the free grammar school aforesaid with their and every of their rights members and appurtenances and all and every the rents issues prerequisites and profits to the said place of schoolmaster belonging or in any wise appertaining and all right title interest possession rents recovered profit property benefit claim demand whatsoever of him the said earl and his heirs of in and to the premises and every part thereof to have hold receive take and enjoy the said donation free disposition and placing of a schoolmaster to the said free grammar school from time to time and at all times and all and every the messuages lands tenements hereditaments issues prerequisites profits and all other the premises therein before mentioned to be thereby given granted and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances unto the said Geo Cressener the elder Jn Cressener grocer and Geo Cressener the younger their heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and uses of them the said Geo Cressener Jn Cressener the grocer and Geo Cressener the younger and of their heirs and assigns forever as in by the said recited deed or indenture enrolled in his majesties high court of chancery more plainly may appear and whereas the said Geo Cressener the elder and Geo Cressener the younger are since deceased and the estate right title and interest of in and to the premises is now lawfully come to the said Jn Cressener grocer by right of survivorship now this indenture witnesseth that the said Jn Cressener grocer for good and valuable causes and considerations him thereunto moving have given granted and confirmed and by these presents doth fully clearly and absolutely give grant ratify and confirm unto the said Jn Cressener of Earls Colne and his heirs all the donation free disposition and settling of a schoolmaster from time to time for the grammar school in Earls Colne aforesaid which is now in the possession of Jn Ludgater and also all and every the messuages lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever of or belonging to the said place of schoolmaster to the free grammar school aforesaid with their and every of their rights members and appurtenances and all and every the rents issues prerequisites and profits to the said place of schoolmaster belonging or anywise appertaining and all the right title interest possession rents reversion profit property benefit claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Jn Cressener grocer and his heirs of in and to the premises and every part thereof together with all deeds evidences writings and counterparts of leases which touch or concern the premises or any part thereof to have hold receive take and enjoy the said donation free disposition and placing of a schoolmaster to the said free grammar school from time to time and at all times and all and every the messuages lands tenements hereditaments rents issues prerequisites profits and all other the premises hereinbefore mentioned to be hereby given and granted and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances unto the said Jn Cressener of Earls Colne his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of him the said Jn Cressener of Earls Colne his heirs and assigns forever and the said Jn Cressener grocer for himself and his heirs doth hereby covenant promise grant and agree to and with the said Jn Cressener of Earls Colne and his heirs and assigns by these presents that he the said Jn Cressener grocer and his heirs and all other persons lawfully claiming under him shall and will from time to time and at all times for and during the space of seven years next coming after the date of these presents at and upon every reasonable request and at the costs and charges of the said Jn Cressener of Earls Colne his heirs and assigns made do acknowledge levy execute and perform all such further and other lawful act and acts thing and things devises conveyances and assurances in the law whatsoever for the further better more perfect and absolute granting conveying settling assuring ratifying and confirming all and singular the premises hereinbefore mentioned to be granted with their and every of their rights members and appurtenances unto and upon the said Jn Cressener of Earls Colne his heirs and assigns to and for his and their own proper use and uses forever by such ways and means and in such manner as by the said Jn Cressener of Earls Colne his heirs or assigns as by his or their counsel learned in the law shall be reasonably advised or devised and required in witness whereof the said parties to these present indentures
