this indenture made the 9.2.35Eliz1 etc between Rich Harlakenden son and heir apparent of Roger Harlakenden of Earls Colne in the county of Essex esq of the one party and Edw Hubberd of Stansted Mountfytchet in the county aforesaid esq one the other party witnesseth that the aforesaid Rich Harlakenden for and in consideration of the brotherly love and natural affection that he hath and beareth towards Thos Harlakenden his brother and to the intent that such manors lands tenements and hereditaments as hereafter are named and expressed may remain and continue in his name and posterity the said Rich Harlakenden doth covenant promise and grant for him his heirs and assigns to and with the said Edw Hubberd his heirs executors and assigns that he the said Rich Harlakenden and his heirs shall and will stand and be seised of and in the site ground and precinct of the house of the late priory or monastery of the Blessed Mary the Virgin and St John the Evangelist of Colne Comitis alias Earles Colne and of and in all that manor or lordship called or known by the name of Colne Priorye with all the houses edifices and buildings lands tenements and hereditaments courts leets with all and singular their appurtenances and of and in the parsonage and the advowson of the vicarage of Earls Colne aforesaid with all the pensions portions tenths tithes and oblations with all and singular their appurtenances to the said parsonage manor or monastery belonging or in any wise appertaining set lying and being in Earls Colne aforesaid Aldham Syble Hedingham Maplested Magna Maplested Parva Bures ad Montem alias Mount Bewers in the said county of Essex and Aldham and Lavenham in the county of Suffolk or accepted and forprised all that farm called Millses Ferme Coppyns and Chalkney Crofts with all the lands and tenements and hereditaments usually occupied with the same and with all and singular the appurtenances now being in the tenure or occupation of one Jn Grene or his assigns the mill called Chalkney Mill with all the lands meadows pastures and arable grounds usually occupied with the same with all and singular the appurtenances now in the occupation or manurement of one Thos Cocke or his assigns with all that messuage tenement or brickell with all the lands meadows pastures feedings arable grounds to and with the same usually occupied with the appurtenances late in the tenure or manurance of one Thos Willson or his assigns which said farms lands tenements and hereditaments so excepted and and foreprized are situate lying and being in Earls Colne and Halsted in the said county of Essex to the use of the said Rich Harlakenden and to the heirs males of the said Rich to be begotten of the body of Margt Hubberd daughter of the said Edw Hubberd whom the said Rich intendeth to take to wife and for default of such issue to the use of the heirs males of the body of the said Rich lawfully to be begotten and for default of such issue to the use of the said Thos Harlakenden and to the heirs males of his body lawfully to be begotten and for default of such issue to the use of the said Roger Harlakenden and to the heirs males of his body hereafter lawfully to be begotten and for default of such issue to the use of Wm Harlakenden uncle of the said Rich and Thos and the heirs males of his body lawfully to be begotten and for default of such issue to Geo Harlakeden son of Jn Harlakenden and to the heirs males of his body lawfully to be begotten and for default of such issue to the right heirs of the said Rich forever and the said Rich doth further covenant promise and grant for him his heirs executors and assigns to and with the said Edw Hubberd his heirs executors and assigns for the consideration aforesaid and for and in consideration of the brotherly love he hath and beareth toward Mabel Stonarde his sister to stand and be seised of and in all that farm aforesaid called Milles Ferme Coppyns and Chalkney Crofts with all the lands tenements and hereditaments usually occupied or letten with the same with all and singular the appurtenances and of and in the said mill called Chalkney Mill with all the lands meadows and pastures to and with the same letten with all and singular the appurtenances and of and in the said messuage tenement or brickell with all the lands meadows pastures feedings and arable grounds with all and singular their appurtenances and of and in all and singular other the premises before by these presents excepted to the use of the said Rich Harlakenden and the heirs males of his body lawfully begotten and for default of such issue to the use of the said Thos Harlakenden and to the heirs males of his body lawfully begotten and for default of such issue to the use of the said Roger Harlakenden and to the heirs males of his body hereafter lawfully to be begotten and for default of such issue to the use of the said Mabel Stonarde and to the heirs males of her body lawfully begotten and for default of such issue to the right heirs of the said Rich forever in witness whereof parties first above said to these present indentures interchangeably have set their hands and
