in the name of god amen I Eliz Woodward of Earls Colne in the county of Essex widow being sick in body but perfect and whole in mind laud and praise be to god do ordain and make this my present testament containing therein my last will in manner and form following first I commit my soul to god the father who made me and to god the son who redeemed me and to god the holy ghost who sanctified me and my body to be buried where it shall please god item I give to the poor in Earls Colne to be distributed at the day of my burial 3s4d item I will that Robt my son shall have and occupy half my farm during my years wherein I now dwell and the other half during the foresaid years to remain to the use and occupation of Joan my daughter Hen Woodward Wm Woodward Jn Woodwarde the elder and Jn Woodward the younger my sons all the rest of my goods and movables I will be dealed equally between my five children reserving Joan out of the foresaid goods 3li6s8d above her brethren also I will that Wm my son shall have 33s4d which is in the hands of Wm Sannder of Coggeshall item all the rest of my goods my debts paid and my body honestly brought to the ground I will that it be equally dealt between my five children also I make and ordain to this my last will and testament mine executors Robt Woodward my son and Jn Cutler and my overseer Robt Amis and I give to either of them 20d here in the presence of Wm Adams vicar and Margt Clerke by me Eliz Woodwarde
