in the name of god amen the 28.11.1599 etc I Thos Baliffe alias Lemmington of Earls Colne in the county of Essex and diocese of London labourer being sick in body but of perfect mind and remembrance laud and praise be to almighty god do make and ordain this my testament containing therein my last will in manner and form following first I commit my soul to almighty god the father the son and the holy ghost and my body to be buried in the churchyard of Earls Colne aforesaid imprimis I give to Margt my wife all my movables and goods whatsoever towards the payment of my debts and bringing up of my children also I give to Margt my wife my house that I now dwell in and all my lands called Chewland for term of her life towards the bringing up of my children and payment of my debts and after her decease to Jn Bayliffe my son and to his heirs forever upon this condition that he shall pay to Margt my daughter 6li13s4d of good lawful english money and to Mary my daughter 6li13s4d of good lawful english money within four years after the decease of his mother and if it shall happen either of my foresaid daughters to die I will her part to remain to her then living also I do ordain and make Margt my wife my only and sole executrix to this my last will and testament in witness whereof mark Thos Samsome mark Edw Catt mark Robt Parker
