in the name of god amen the 4.3.1624 I Thos Turner of Earls Colne in the county of Essex weaver being sick in body but yet in perfect remembrance I do thank god therefore do make this my last will in manner and form following first I surrender my soul into the hands of almighty god and his blessed son jesus christ my only saviour and redeemer and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be decently buried item I do give unto Joan my wife all my goods and implements of household during her life and after her decease my will is that the same shall disposed amongst my children where she shall think good to give or dispose the same and I do make her sole executrix to see my body decently buried in witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seal the day and year above written mark Thos Turner read sealed and published as his last will in the presence of Simon Ives mark Clem Turner
