of Markeshale in the county of Essex yeoman being sa=ed and weak in body but yet of good and perfect remembrance thanks be given to almighty god therefore revoking all other former wills by me made do ordain and make this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say first and principally I recommend and recommit my soul into the hands of almighty god my creator maker and redeemer who gave it me who also in and by the bloodshedding of his son christ jesus hath given me and cleansed me from all my sins and my body to be buried in the parish church or churchyard of Markeshall aforesaid at the discretion of

my loving wife whom I make sole executrix of this my last will and testament item the lease and tenement wherein I now live with all the house buildings stables and hereditaments belonging and appertaining with all and singular the appurtenances together with all the copyhold lands arable meadow and pasture appertaining and belonging to the manor of Coggeshall Hall and all my copyhold lands belonging to the manor of Feering being together with all my copyhold lands belonging to the manor of Colne Priory with all and singular their appurtenances my will and meaning is shall be sold within one whole year after my decease by my well beloved friends
