memorandum that upon this 13.11.30Chas2 I Ann Burton of Earls Colne widow relict of Sam Burton deceased do make and ordain this my last will and testament by reason of my present weakness though in sound and perfect disposing mind and memory in manner and form following imprimis whereas my said husband did by his last will and testament give devise and bequeath unto my son Jn Burton and his heirs the reversion of a certain house or messuage in Earls Colne commonly called or known by the name of the Bell after my decease and whereas the said Jn Burton in his life time hath and did mortgage his said reversion therein for a competent sum of money to be paid at a certain day therein mentioned with lawful interest the which money nor interest was not nor is not to this day paid nor any part thereof whereby the said reversion is fallen and forfeited to me therefore I do give devise and bequeath the said house with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto my two grandchildren Mary Burton and Mabel Burton daughters of my said son Jn Burton and to their heirs respectively forever by equal portions or half parts to be divided between them item I do give to Wm Clarke of Colchester my son in law the sum of 20li in trust that he shall therewith within twelve months after my decease buy a house and settle it for the use of my son Isaac Burton during the term of his natural life and after his decease then to the uses of Thos Death Sam and Wm Marshall the three sons of my daughter Eliz and their heirs forever item I do give unto my said son Isaac 5li to be paid him in six months after my decease item I do give and bequeath to my son Dan Burton 20li to be paid him in twelve months after my decease also I give unto him my best bed and bedstead with the furniture as is stands to be preserved for him in my daughter Mary Clarke's hands till he demand it or otherwise disposeth of it item I do give to Mabel Prentice my grandchild my bed bedstead and furniture upon which I do usually do lie as it stands and my will is that when she receives the same she shall pay my son Isaac 20s item I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Prentice the sum of 10li to be paid her in six months after my decease item I do give and bequeath to my son Sam Burton of Earls Colne the sum of 5s to be paid in twelve months after my decease all the rest of my goods and estate whatsoever I do give and bequeath and devise unto my three daughters Susanna Place Ann Prentice and Mary Clarke and to their heirs respectively to be equally divided among and between them and I do make constitute and appoint my said three daughters to be the executrices of this my last will charging them in the peace of god to agree lovingly and to execute this my will faithfully and I do hereby revoke and make void all former wills by me made and do declare this to be my last will contained in one sheet of paper in witness whereof I have set to my hand and fixed my seal the day and year above written sealed signed and published to be the last will of the testatrix within named in the presence of Jn Ludgater Robt Potter Jn Foster Anna Burton
