in the name of god amen I Jn King of the parish of Earls Colne in the county of Essex butcher being weak in body but of sound mind and memory blessed be god do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following imprimis first I commit my soul to god trusting through the merits of jesus christ my alone saviour and redeemer to receive pardon and forgiveness for all my sins and as to those worldly goods which god of his goodness hath been pleased to bestow upon me I give and bequeath as followeth first I give unto my only child Nath King the house where I now live and the house in the which Roger Roole now lives but my desire is my loving wife shall receive the rents and profits of them for the better bringing of him up till he shall attain to the years of 21yr but if it should happen that he should not live to come to that age my will is that my wife shall enjoy the rents and profits of them so long as she lives except she marries again which if it should so happen then my will is that Jn Cranfield shall have the house where Roger Roole lives and the house I live in to be equally divided betwixt my brother Nath King and my brother Peter King and my sister Cranfield item I give unto my brother Peter King immediately after my death my old dick horse all the rest of my goods and chattels unbequeathed I give unto my loving wife whom I make and ordain executrix of this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 4.4.1710 sealed and delivered in the presence of us Gilb Smith Hen Adams jun Jn Pratt mark Jn King
