in the name of god amen I Thos Brackley of Earls Colne in the county of Essex husbandman being weak in body but of a sound and perfect mind and memory thanks be to almighty god do make this my last will and testament in manner following first I will that all my just debts that are owing by me to any person or persons whatsoever be well and truly satisfied and paid by my executrix hereafter named item I give and bequeath all those my copyhold messuages or tenements commonly called or known by the names of Mordines alias Cross End with the appurtenances to the same belonging situate in Earls Colne and now in the tenure or occupation of myself and Sam Hutton unto Sarah my beloved wife and her heirs forever item I give and bequeath unto Kath Fell (may be Kath Fell) the full sum of 5li to be paid by my executrix within two years next after my decease item I bequeath all the rest of my personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto the aforesaid Sarah my loving wife whom I do nominate and appoint sole executrix to this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have set my hand and seal the 11.9.1730 signed sealed published and declared by the testator and in his presence attested by us Jn White mark Edw Fell Sam Burton mark Thos Brackely illegible text
