in the name of god amen I Sarah Williamson of Earls Colne in the county of Essex widow the relict of Jn Williamson late of Earls Colne aforesaid yeoman deceased being of sound and disposing mind praised be god for the same do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say first I give devise and bequeath unto my brother in law Thos Williamson of Earls Colne aforesaid husbandman for and during the term of his natural life only all that my freehold messuage or tenement sometime two tenements with all the yards gardens orchards outhouses hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging situate lying and being in Earls Colne aforesaid sometime in the occupation of Jn Buck (may be Jn Buck) and now or late in the tenure or occupation of Thos Owers or his assigns and immediately from and after the death of the said Thos Williamson I give and devise and bequeath all my aforesaid messuage or tenement with all the yards gardens orchards outhouses hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging unto his daughter Sarah Ketley the wife of Joseph Ketley of Earls Colne aforesaid husbandman and to her heirs forever also I give and bequeath unto the said Thos Williamson the sum of 20li of lawful money of Great Britain also I give and bequeath unto my sister in law Eliz Rainer of Earls Colne aforesaid widow the sum of 30li of lawful money of Great Britain also I give and bequeath unto my sister in law Mary Huckster of Maldon in the said county widow the sum of 30li of lawful money of Great Britain also I give and bequeath unto my sister Mary Wenden of Rivenhall in the said county spinster the sum of 30li of lawful money of Great Britain and I direct and order that the several legacies or sums of money herein before by me given to my said brother in law Thos Williamson my said sisters in law Eliz Rainer and Mary Huckster and my said sister Mary Wenden shall be paid to them respectively by my executors hereinafter named within twelve months next after my decease also I give devise and bequeath unto my brother Sam Wenden coachman to the right honourable the Countess of Abercorn and to my nephew Jas Wenden one of the sons of my said brother Sam my leave of the messuage farm lands and tenements called Trucknetts otherwise the Gatehouse lying and being in Earls Colne aforesaid and Colne Engain in the said county and now in my own and my undertenants occupations and all my right and interest therein to hold the same unto my said brother Sam Wenden and my said nephew Jas Wenden and their respective executors and administrators for and during all the residue and remainder of the term of years to come therein also I give and bequeath unto my said brother Sam Wenden and unto my said nephew Jas Wenden the sum of 30li apiece of lawful money of Great Britain also I give and bequeath unto my nephew Jn Wenden eldest son of my said brother Sam Wenden the sum of 10li of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to him by my executors hereinafter named within nine months next after my decease also I give and bequeath unto my sister Martha Raven the wife of Wm Raven of Rivenhall or Witham in the said county husbandman unto my cousin Math Wenden of Braxted in the said county gardener unto Mary Rosbrooke the wife of Wm Rosbrooke of Lexden in the said county husbandman unto Sarah Cooke the wife of Isaac Cooke of Great Tey in the said county husbandman unto Ann Overall the wife or widow of Hen Overall late of Earls Colne aforesaid peruke maker and unto the said Sarah Ketley the wife of the said Joseph Ketley the sum of 5li apiece of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to them respectively by my executors hereinafter named within six months next after my decease also I give and bequeath unto my said sisters Mary Wenden and Martha Raven and the said Sarah Cooke all my clothes wearing linen and wearing apparel whatsoever to be equally divided between them share and share alike by my executors hereinafter named within fourteen days next after my decease and after payment of all my just debts my funeral expenses and several legacies or sums of money herein before by me bequeathed and the charges of the probate of this my will I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my goods chattels household furniture farming stock corn cattle implements of husbandry ready money credits securities for money and personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever unto my said brother Sam Wenden and my said nephew Jas Wenden and to their respective executors and administrators equally between them share and share alike and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said brother Sam Wenden and my said nephew Jas Wenden executors of this my will and lastly I do hereby revoke and make void all former and other wills by me at any time heretofore made and I do hereby publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I the said Sarah Williamson the testatrix have to this my last will and testament contained in two sheets of paper to each of them set my hand and seal this 21.11.1770 Sarah Williamson signed sealed published and declared by the said Sarah Williamson the testatrix as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us attested as witnesses thereunto at her request and in her
