in the name of god amen I Jn Partridge of Earls Colne barber being in sound and perfect mind and memory thanks be to god do make and ordain this my last will and testament I desire to be buried in decent christian burial at the discretion of my executor and executrix and as touching my worldly estate my will is that all that my copyhold messuage or tenement now in the several occupations of myself and Mary Ellis my tenant the same# being surrendered to the use of my will with the yards gardens and everything that belong to the same to be sold by Jos Mills my executor and my daughter Sarah Sallows my executrix for the most money that they can make of the same and the said money after paying all just demands funeral charges etc to be divided share and share alike between my three children Jn Sarah and Hannah my household furniture to be sold in like manner and the money to be equally divided as above all my wearing apparel I give to my son Jn I do appoint Jos Mills at The Blue Boar Earls Colne to be my executor and my daughter Sarah Sallows to be my executrix in witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this 18.1.1809 it is my desire that if my daughter Sarah Sallows should have a mind to purchase my above premises at £100 for the premises that she should be allowed £10 for her administration at the court out of the purchase Jn Partridge signed sealed delivered and published as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who subscribed out names as witnesses in the testator's presence and at his request Thos Brazier Wm Burch Judith Potter
