whereas Isaac Anthony of Coggeshall Magna in the county of Essex son of Jn Anthony of the same town and county aforesaid and Martha Ludgater daughter of Robt Ludgater sen of the same town and county aforesaid glover having declared their intentions of taking each other in marriage before several public meetings of the people of god called quakers in Coggeshall Magna and Earls Colne in the county aforesaid according to the good order use amongst them whose proceedings therein after a deliberate consideration thereof were approved by the said meetings they appearing clear of all others and having consent of parties and relations concerned now these are to certify all whom it may concern that for the full accomplishing of their said intentions of this 28.4.1692 according to the english account they the said Issac Anthony and Martha Ludgater appeared in a public assembly of the aforesaid people and others met together in their public meeting place at Coggeshall aforesaid and according to the example of the holy men of god recorded in the scriptures of truth in a solomn manner he the said Isaac Anthony aforesaid taking the said Martha Ludgater by the hand did openly declare as followeth in the fear of the lord and before this assembly I Isaac Anthony take this my friend Martha Ludgater to be my wife promising by the assistance of god to be unto her a loving and faithful husband until it please the lord to separate us by death and then and there in the said assembly the said Martha Ludgater did in like manner declare as followeth friends in the fear of the lord and before this assembly I Martha Ludgater take this my friend Isaac Anthony to be my husband promising to be un to him a loving and faithful wife until it please the lord to separate us by death and the said Isaac Anthony and Martha Ludgater as a further confirmation thereof did then and there to these presents set their hands and we whose names are hereunto subscribed being present amongst others at the solomnizing of their said marriage and subscription in manner aforesaid as witnesses thereunto have also to these presents subscribed our names the day and year abovesaid Isaac Anthony Martha Anthony Robt Ludgater sen Jn Anthony Isaac Stacie Jn Ludgater Robt Yardly Jn Hiningham Robt Ludgater jun Wm Ludgater Jn Fryitt Jos Stacie Wm Rawling Jn Morley Jn Clarke Jn Jenkins Dan Baily Wm Stacie Jn Stacie Ann Stacie Eliz Rawling Margt Ludgater Eliz Evens Hannah Fryitt Sarah Ludgater Mary London Mary Stacie etc
