Free deed of Priory - rent 5s3d Robt Hills esq on death of father Phil Hills esq 1830 to the manor of Goldington alias Kitchenmead

From rental 1590 Wm Syday gent holdeth of the lord as of this manor freely by deed, the manor or tenement called Goldingtons and in ancient times called Kitchenfield sometime of one Jn Goldington and after Jn Hynksworth etc with the appurtenances etc in Colne Engain - by fealty, suit of court, and the yearly rent of 5s payable quarterly and by the yearly service to pay 1lb of cumin at the feast of easter

It would appear that the 1lb of cumin was commuted for an additional 3d per annum 5s3d being the free rent now regularly paid for this manor
