Under legal opinion the executors had first to pay a death fine from the testator's estate (see fine book) and afterwards mr Robt Hills paid a purchase fine on surrender of the executors - Cotes Croft , Goss Fen and Little Sixpence together about 18a - £33.15s

The fence was continued in the dotted line at the bottom of Little Sixpence - and the remaining part north and west abutting upon the road, laid into the adjoining field called land " of Lorrence's heirs " - this was done by the late mr Phil Hills - The fence on the west side was removed a few years since, by mr Robt Hills a tree or two remains to show the old boundary
