Walt Newman of Earls Colne bricklayer and Jn Trasor of the same husbandman for Jn Brande of the same tailor to be of good behaviour towards Thos Kendall of the same and the said Kendall's wife also to answer for one slanderous rhyme of the said Brande made and published against the said the said Kendall and his wife taken before sir Edm Huddilston knight the condition of this recognisance is such that if the within bound Jn Brande shall and do make his personal appearance before her majesties justices of the peace at the next general sessions of the peace to be held in the said county within written and in the meantime to be of good behaviour to all her highnesses subjects and especially against Thos Kendall of Earls Colne aforesaid and the said Kendall's wife as also to answer unto one slanderous rhyme by the said Brande made and published against the said Kendall and his wife and not to depart thence without licence of the said court that then this present recognisance to be void and of none effect or else to stand and abide in full power and virtue
