Jn Girlyvance of White Colne husbandman aged 60yr deposes that the bridge was repaired by Jn the earl of Oxford about forty years ago and he remembers that Robt Ball then his master carried some timber out of the earl's grounds by the commandment of the officer of the said earl to the said bridge and that the said timber was spent about the repairing thereof and that no contribution of money was gathered of any other persons for the repairing of the said bridge
