gentleman was admitted tenant of the lord for himself and his heirs to one croft of land lying below the park now of a separate parcel of a tenement of

namely one head abutting upon the land of the lord of this manor called
Carters Croft
and the other head thereof abutting upon a lane leading from the king's highway towards
Smithesfields
now it is shown by the homage that the said
Jn Churche
before this court and after the last court surrendered the said croft of land with appurtenances into the hands of the lord by the hands of
Jn Pennocke
instead of the bailiff in the presence of
Hen Abbotte
senior and
Jn Cutler
two customary tenants the same testifying according to the custom of the manor to the use and behoof of
Jn Browne
his heirs and assigns forever who present in court sought admittance from the lord to the said crofts of land with appurtenances to whom the lord by his steward granted thereof seisin to have to the same said

and his heirs to hold from the lord by the rod at this will of the lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rents services and customs thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and he gave to the lord his fine as is shown in the margin |
