it is shown by the homage that out of this court and after the last court Wm Leffingwell son and heir of Thos Leffingwell son and heir of Jn Leffingwell late of Earls Colne cooper son and heir of Jn Leffingwell late of the said Earls Colne and Joan his wife deceased surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of Wm Dashe instead of the bailiff in the presence of Robt Rookes senior and Edw Clemence customary tenants of this manor the same testifying according to the custom of the said manor one tenement and eleven crofts of land and a garden containing by estimation 23a2r of l and more or less called Clarkes in the said Colne as it is divided and shown by the metes and bounds to the use and behoof of Robt Leffingwell his heirs and assigns forever and also for himself and his heirs according to the custom of the said manor he remitted released and forever quitclaimed to the aforesaid Robt Leffingwell and his heirs into his full and peaceful possession and existing seisin all right estate title claim interest and demand which he has or should have or at any time in the future may have or had for himself and his heirs of and in the said tenement and other premises with appurtenances so that neither the aforesaid Wm Leffingwell nor his heirs should be able to demand claim or sell any right title claim interest or demand of or in the said premises but they should be excluded from all such rights thereunto forever by these presents
